DNB and AFM Supervision

DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank) and AFM (Dutch Financial Markets Authority) share supervision of the Dutch financial sector via the Twin Peaks model. DNB conducts prudential supervision of approximately 1,200 financial institutions (banks, insurers, pension funds) and oversees capital adequacy, risk management and anti-money laundering. AFM focuses on conduct supervision.
